Our Practice
We provide personal, high-quality health care to children in Central Louisiana.
Pediatricians receive special training in the health and illnesses of infants, children, teens, and young adults. We provide preventive health care for children in good health, medical care for children with chronic conditions such as ADHD or asthma, newborn care, developmental screenings, and much more. We also provide parents with support and advice with issues such as growth and development, safety and prevention, nutrition, and emotional wellness to foster a lifetime of good health. We pierce ears too.
At Jackson Street Pediatrics, it is important to us that families feel comfortable in the relationships we build and trust that we are on the same page when making the best decisions for their children.
To that end, we seek to provide evidence-based care and education so that our families can feel confident in the medical decisions that we make together. Dr. Wicker-Brown joined as a community member of Ochsner Physician Partners to ensure she has access to the most current, evidence-based care guidelines and resources that will keep our patients well.
Dr. Kai Wicker-Brown is a board-certified pediatrician. She is originally from Detroit, MI, but has called Alexandria, LA home since 2009. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor for both her undergraduate degree and medical degree. After medical school, Dr. Wicker-Brown completed her 3-year pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Michigan/Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.
In 2021, Dr. Wicker-Brown started her own practice so she could have the time and freedom to develop deeper, more meaningful relationships with the families that entrust her to care for their most precious resource, their children.
Dr. Wicker-Brown is married to Dr. Marcus Brown, an emergency physician, and has 2 children, Riley and Zoey, as well as a host of four-legged friends.
